The foundational truths we believe, teach, and live by. These doctrines shape everything we do at Sight of God School of Ministries.
Sight of God School of Ministries stands firmly within the historic, evangelical Christian faith. We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and our final authority for faith and practice. The following statements summarize the core doctrines we affirm and teach.
We believe the Bible — both the Old and New Testaments — is the verbally inspired Word of God, without error in the original manuscripts, and the supreme and final authority for faith, doctrine, and Christian living. (2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21)
We believe in one eternal God, existing in three co-equal and co-eternal Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each Person is fully God, yet there is only one God. (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
We believe in the full deity and full humanity of Jesus Christ. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for the sins of the world, rose bodily from the dead, and will return in glory. (John 1:1, 14; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4)
We believe in the person and work of the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, regenerates believers, indwells every Christian, and empowers them for holy living and effective service. (John 16:8–11; Acts 1:8)
We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone. Through repentance and faith in Christ's finished work on the cross, believers receive forgiveness of sins and eternal life. (Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 6:23)
